Handicap Accessible Beach Homes

Whether you are just trying to make things easy for grandparents, or need an ADA compliant bedroom with a bath that has a wheelchair accessible roll-in shower, we have some great beachfront family homes for your gathering of family or friends.

The homes listed below have an elevator to all floors, and a handicap accessible ADA compliant bedroom, and private bathroom with a low or no threshold shower, grab bars and an accessible sink. While our houses are handicap accessible or wheelchair accessible, please note that our dune walkovers do have a few stairs at the beach end--we are not allowed the space needed to build a beachfront ramp.

Gulf Shores is working to make our beach handicap accessible as well. There are several vendors who rent wide wheel beach wheelchairs, and the main public beach has an accessibility mat that enables regular wheelchairs to venture out onto the beach.
